Skywatch Friday Thoughts and More

As I promised Tuesday, here are a few more photos of a part of Bass Pro Shops installation in Branson, MO.  The clouds were perfect for a Skywatch Friday last week.  Bass Pro Shops has a store at Branson Landing.  It set on the banks of Lake Taneycomo.  They built a marina as well.  You can rent boats, or get an on-the-water demonstration of a boat that you might purchase.  The construction is very rustic and pays tribute to the fishing camps that used to occupy much of this area.  Bass Pro pays very close attention to detail and the results are usually stunning.  This little bait shop at the marina is no exception.  Step inside and it is like stepping back in time.
Here is a view from the lake side.
As I mentioned Tuesday, we ate dinner at the Fish House.  This building is about two years old, but looks like it has been on the lake for a century.

Here is a view from the lake side.  This is a large restaurant.  It probably seats in excess of 200.  Those little splashes of color on the far right of the platform are vintage metal lawn chairs.  Like I said, Bass Pro pays close attention to every little detail.

And now, it's time for the inspirational song of the week.  I have chosen another contemporary artist, The David Crowder Band.  While some believe that there are multiple ways to arrive at heaven's gates upon death, others fear that their salvation is always in jeopardy.  First of all, Christ said, "I am the way, the truth, and the light.  No one comes to the Father, except through me."  That's pretty clear.  Secondly, Christ said, " My sheep here my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."  That sounds pretty secure.  If you are a child of Christ, He will NEVER let go! So rejoice in your security.  Enjoy and have a great week-end.

  1. I love the bait shop and the Fish House. Way cool They do indeed look very old. The very best part? It's on the water. Now you're talking.

I don't see the video for the inspirational song of the week. Hope it's on my end and not yours.

Have a terrific Friday and weekend ahead. Big hug. :)

    But I'm curious, what's a "composted photo"?

  9. I love Bass Pro but I hardly ever buy anything there except for my habanero hot sauce that they carry. They do pay exceptional attention to detail and I marvel at the results.
