Last week I took you to Milt's BBQ in Kyle, TX. This week, we return to Kyle, TX. Just a mile down the road from Milt's is Railroad Bar-B-Que. As the name implies, it is sitting adjacent to the railroad tracks that run through town. I suspect that this old building began life as a feed store or farmer's exchange. Anyway, some of the best BBQ I ever put in my mouth is served here. I had a three meat combo platter of ribs (beef), brisket, and sausage. It was amazing! If you like BBQ you have to try this place.
Please note, BBQ in Texas is all about the beef and the smoke. As far as Texans are concerned, truly great BBQ don't need no stinkin' sauce!!! Just sayin'.
Mmmmm....Good!
Looks good to me. I prefer the Texas concept myself of heavy on the smoke and light on the sauce. That plate looks great.
ReplyDeleteIt was great seeing you this past weekend.
I gotta got back to the Lone Star State. That platter looks fine with the brisket and homemade baked beans. Yummy it looks, and no doubt is delicious...
ReplyDeleteThat's so yummy looking. I like your RT badge.
ReplyDeleteMY Ruby Tuesday

ReplyDeleteright now I'm thinking of all the photos waiting to be shot in this town.
Thanks for visiting my RT! :))
Now I want me some barbecue!! Looks great. Love your photos...
ReplyDeleteMost of the BBQ we do doesn't have any sauce. I'd rather have a good rub any day. I'll bet we could all enjoy a BBQ together. You and your lovely and me and hubby. It would be grand fun.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day. :)
As well as the meat turns out perfectly juicy and tender who cares about the sauce! Sauce is said to be an insult to chefs in some way! :P
ReplyDeleteNow I am seriously hungry for a 3 meat combo. Have you world travelers tried Billy Sims on Peoria. Its Boomer-Q! he says.
ReplyDeleteSeems most barbeque places have red on display. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's almost two in the morning and that plate of food makes me hungry. Looks delicious.
