Ruby Tuesday Too

Steeeerike Three!

Spring is officially here and that means little league baseball.  In this image a young batter from the opposing team is caught looking at strike three.  That will happen a lot to these aspiring boys of summer.  It is part of the learning process.  He will soon learn to recognize a pitch that is coming into his strike zone.  He may not hit every one of them, but there will be fewer times that he is caught looking at strike three.  I love this time of year.  There are few things more entertaining than a day at the ball park with a bunch of eleven-year-olds.

  1. They have to learn and it's wonderful to watch them figure out when and what to do. A fun time in their lives.

Have a fabulous day my friend. ☺

    1. Some of the learn faster than others, but it is a treat watching them figure this game out.

    1. It is a great time in their lives to be a kid and play a game that their fathers and grandfathers played before them.

  3. What a great view! I see the dust flying out of the mitt as the captured ball is an obvious strike. Baseball is a great game, but it is thinking that propels it, not constant action. The more strikes the batter takes now will teach them when a swing will connect Nice look at America's pastime!

    1. Good eye Ralph. I was hoping that someone besides me caught that dust on the catcher's mitt.

  4. I love baseball at all levels from the major leagues down to pee wee t ball. In high school we had a point system on the team. It was like a home run was four points and a fielding error was like minus one. A called third strike was like a minus 20 or so.
