2015 Christmas Music Marathon Day 18

One way that God has communicated with His people is through angels, so it is no surprise that angels were a primary communication tool used to announce the coming of the Savior. An angel told Mary that she was going to have a child and that it was the Son of God. An Angel told Joseph that Mary had not been unfaithful to him, rather they had been chosen to be be the earthly parents of a heavenly child. How great an honor and responsibility is that? And when the Christ child arrived, angels announced His birth to shepherds in a nearby field. A shepherd was considered to be a poor mans job, and the men who practiced this profession were considered second class citizens. Therefore, the announcement of the birth of the Savior to these men was God's confirmation that salvation and eternal life was available to all of mankind. It is still available to those willing to repent, believe, and call on the name of Jesus. I'm sure that night the shepherds asked one another, "Do You Hear What I Hear?" Have a blessed day.

  2. I think the Angel coming to Mary is one of the most undertalked about stories of the Bible
