Christmas Music Marathon - Day 23
For some of us there is a part of Christmas that may bring a tear to our eye or a sadness to our heart. Some of us may have lost a loved one during the Christmas season and others are celebrating their first Christmas without the presence a beloved member of the family. Today is the 8th anniversary of my father's passing. Dad worked for the Frisco railroad for forty-two years and this ornament was a part of a wreath at his memorial service. There is a peace that comes from knowing where my father is now. He acknowledged Christ as his Savior and he is spending eternity is a place prepared for him by Christ ("...I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also [John 14:2-3]). Still, there are days when I miss my father dearly and during this season of the year I wonder what is Christmas in Heaven like? Have a blessed day.

Christmas is a time that I especially miss those I have lost.

We can focus on the joys of Christmas past.
DeleteI too remember those that have left us. The circle of life is most apparent during the holiday.
ReplyDeleteI've not heard this video before. Made me very misty eyed.
Have a blessed day, my friend. ☺
This song is new to me as well. Brought back a lot of fond memories with family from the past.
DeleteIt is nice to think of the loved ones i've lost celebrating Christmas right alongside us in Heaven.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful thought.
