Red Sky in the Morning, Sailor Take Warning
Most of us end our day by watching the local weather forecast on television. Some of us pay close attention to the information, because we have special plans for the next day and the weatherman is about to tell us if our plans need to change, or if we are good to go. We dress according to what the weatherman tells us is going to happen. We may even try to plan a few days ahead, although that is not necessarily a good idea in this part of the country. We like to know what the future holds so that we can make the appropriate plans. We can do that with the weather, however life would seem to be much more difficult to plan our future. Not really. God gave us a book, that not only tells us how to conduct our lives, but tells us the outcome. "For God so loves the world that He gave His only begotten Son, and whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but will have everlasting life." This is the future that awaits anyone who will accept Christ as their personal savior.
The inspirational song this week comes from the hymns of the church. There is great truth in these old songs. There is a message of hope, salvation, joy and great blessing.
We know that regardless of life circumstances and no matter what path we are required to travel, for the Christian there will come a day when we will have "Victory in Jesus". Enjoy.
That is superb!
ReplyDeleteNice capture of the sunrise!
ReplyDeleteYou know, Jesus spoke of knowing the weather signs when He spoke of the signs of the times. (the first few verses of Matthew 16)
