A Man and His Dog

My daughter and son-in-law have a dog...a Yorkshire Terrier.  Taz is not exactly a "manly" dog, if you know what I mean.  Recently my daughter had the opportunity to rescue an abandoned pup, a black lab mix.  Wylie will be a much more manly canine one of these days.  I think the ruby red leash is perfect for him.

  1. What a cutie pie the puppy is too. I love the red leash.

    Have a terrific day. :)

  2. Patti and I had the philosophical discussions about a lap dog (her) vs a big loopy and goofy Lab (me). We compromised on a cat! I love labs, and this one with a ruby leash will be a loyal companion (to both!)

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours - even with the challenges we face around our home, God has provided us with so much, all else will be taken care of...

  3. Cute little buddy! Nice pic:o)
Thank you for visiting my blog!

  4. Cute dog!

Hope you'd find time to visit my entries here and here.

  5. Awwwwwwwww, this photo of the little rescued puppy just melts my heart. Precious...and perfect for a'll grow and be his forever companion, to be sure.

May your Thanksgiving be a blessed one... safe, happy, and ful'filling'!!!

  6. that puppy is so cute.......awwww

  7. That really is going to be a manly pup.

We have three very unmanly yappy dogs. I love them anyway!

  8. Sweet baby dog. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love yours!

  9. How cute, enjoy it.

  10. Our daughter got a Yorkie several years ago. Her dad said, "Why did you get a fru-fru dog like that!!!!!" Well, E is anything but a "fru-fru" dog. In fact, we call him the Yorkie on steroids. He's huge - must be some kind of throwback - but definitely a Yorkie. Since then we've acquired 3 of our own and none of them are "fru-fru." They are terrific at catching rats - EEEWWWWW! and one brought in a bird the other day. We also have a lab-mix (oh, did I mention with the exception of 1 Yorkie, all of our dogs are rescues?) and our little female Yorkie keeps him in line just like she does our other 2 Yorkies.

In case you don't read my blog post today, we too only have to really only have chicken & noodles and mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Oh, and some homemade hot rolls too.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
