Wow. Amazing how water can freeze that way.
The night time temperatures dropped into single digits and the day time temps were not above freezing for a week. I think that was the key.

What a great photo- I used to live in Pennsylvania and would see frozen water like that all the time in the winter. Always was fascinated by it. Now I live in Florida
This is not a frequent winter sight Arkansas.

It took several days for the ice to build up like this.
