After nearly thirteen years without a family pet, last Thursday we welcomed Lucy into the home. She is a 10 week old pure bred Cocker Spaniel.
She is extremely smart. She was housebroken within 24 hours. Crate training is taking a little longer, but she is getting used to the notion that it can be her safe place. The first night was tough on everyone but she has been great since then.
There is no hidden reason for naming her Lucy, it just seemed to fit. She is full of energy but loves to spend some quiet time in your lap between her rounds of playing tug-of-war. Yes, puppies can be labor intensive, but the final results of a great companion dog are worth the effort.
It's been too cold and wet here lately to photograph any outdoor spring sports so I turned my attention indoors and Lucy. You can expect more images from the adventures of Lucy in the future. Have a blessed day.
