This photo was taken at the carriage house and museum across the street from The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. While it may conjure up romantic images, this is one tough way to travel, especially in the summer, or dead of winter.
It is romantic to ride, but not in the heat of summer or the cold of winter. I'll just drive my car. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day. Big hug. :)
I am not so sure about this as luxury travel - although when introduced, a roof covered wagon was better than riding a horse. The leaf springs and wood rims - we complain our hardships on the road from a closed vehicle with the A/C blasting!
ReplyDeletethis is such a beauty for sure. I would love to take a trio on it maybe a Km. I understand they were hard on the body!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!

Great find for RT.
ReplyDeleteI grew up in Colorado...my husband was born in the Springs...and the Broadmoor...well, it's a highlight against the foothills with Pike's Peak in the background. Awesome photo...brought back lots of childhood memories for me.

That's a handsome carriage but I think bouncing around in it all day during hot dusty summers or freezing winter would be an ordeal.
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine the ride going over the all potholes. It is a pretty and colorful wagon.
