Easter Sunday has taken on a special significance around the Driller home. It has always been a special day for Christians. Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. My previous post gives a brief outline of the plan of salvation. For the Christian, salvation and eternal life can only come from one source, Jesus Christ. Christ said, "I am the way, the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through me." He further reminded us that, "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." The apostle Paul tells us that, "
"...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9-10. As a nine year old boy, I was saved on Good Friday and baptized on Easter Sunday morning. Last year, our daughter came to the realization that she was not saved. She invited Christ into her heart on Easter Sunday 2010. Today, Easter Sunday 2011, the eleven year old middle grand daughter accepted Christ as her Savior. It was a glorious day!
Jesus Saves!
But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14
