Ruby Tuesday

On a recent business trip to the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami FL area I was fortunate enough to stay at theTurnberry Isle hotel and resort. While walking around a portion of the golf course one morning, I found this lovely couple. I have forgotten the specific name for this duck, but I do find that ruby red head interesting.
Moving riight along, it is fall in the Ozarks and the leaves are in full color right now.  If you would like an Autumn themed header photo for your blog, please feel free to use one of these below.  I took a lunch hour the other day and captured some leaves.  These are all JPEG images that have been cropped to 980 pixels wide, the maximum supported by e-blogger. Take what you need, modify them to suit your blog.  Enjoy.

  5. Interesting looking duck. Great Fall colors.

Glad you are able to cut your hours back next year. I think more and more people are going to be doing that. I think people are happier when they have meaningful work to do, as long as they are able.

I love my job and I plan on working full time for another 11 years (if somebody will have me) and I just can't see working full time one day and then coming to an abrupt stop the next day.

  7. Nice selection of reds for Ruby Tuesday - but «Louis» is particularly taken by the Fuel Injected '57 Chevy. The FI was mechanical in those days, and still largely experimental, thus this is a rare Chevy. Had Packard been able to build the cars they had planned for '57, mechanical fuel injection would have been standard equipment as would have four wheel disc brakes - an industry first in both cases.
