Vacation Skies

Our vacation was spent on the lake this year, same place as last year.  This home is just across the cove from the resort where we were lodged.  The weather was perfect.  After experiencing several weeks of upper 90's and l02 100's, the temperature actually dropped into the lower 90's, even upper 80's during our stay.

  This bluff is about a mile from our resort.  I spent quite a bit of time, between 5:30 - 9:30 a.m. fishing this area each morning.  Just in case you're wondering, the sun is not up at 5:30, but the fish are awake, if not always cooperative.  This was my vacation within a vacation.  At 5:30 a.m. I had the lake pretty much to myself.  By 1:00 p.m. this area would be filled with pontoons and ski boats.

One of favorite Gospel groups is The Booth Brothers.  This song is new to me, and believe me, I've heard almost everything they have ever recorded.  Of all the things that I have to be thankful for, I am reminded that the most precious gift that God has given me is the gift of eternal life, through His son Jesus Christ.  I am blessed with a beautiful wife, a lovely family, a job, a home, and most things that people associate with "The Good Life."  However, none of that matters without Christ.  So, when you find a few moments, "Thank Him For The Miracle.
