There are days when beautiful clouds, storm clouds and other interesting things to capture happen in the sky above our heads, but generally speaking, nothing is quite as spectacular as the sunrise or sunset. They are very special times of the day. For the photographer (I have a long way to go before calling myself a photographer) the hour after sunrise and and hour before sunset provide the best natural light for taking photos. Thus, they are tagged, "The Golden Hours."
As a "first wave" Baby Boomer, I am entering my Golden Years by some estimates. I can only hope that these coming years will be the best ever. My wife and I have prepared for this time in our lives and we are ready to enjoy the fruit of our labor. When I look at the sunset photo above and I think of all of the blessings that God has showered upon my family over the years, I can only say, "Oh, How Marvelous." Have a blessed week-end.
We have the same blessings, and like you and your lovely wife we planned for this time in our lives. God helps those that help themselves. I was taught that at an early age and never lost sight of that simple fact.
ReplyDeleteLove the video as always.
Have a terrific and blessed day. ☺

ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky with the variation in color abong the cloud layers! One of the nice things about the Golden Years is that we can stop and just look (and photograph) the sunrises and sunsets without rushing to be somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteGreat photograph, you really have an eye for the sky Driller.
ReplyDeleteYou also know what life is about.
As a second wave boomer, I hope my twilight years are as glorious as the sky in your beautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sky. I know in much of North America, Spring is not yet around the corner. But here on the milder west coast, it won't be long now. We will still get a lot of rain for awhile so I shall enjoy the sunshine while it last. Blessings. x
