2016 Christmas Music Marathon - Day 11
Regardless of what may be going on in our lives or what storm we may be in our midst, because of a Savior born in Bethlehem, the child of God and follower of Christ can say, "All is Well". Have a blessed day.

2015 Christmas Music Marathon Day 12
BOOMER!
The regular college football season has come to a close and the four teams have been chosen to play for the National Championship. My Alma Mater, The University of Oklahoma is one of those teams. As you can see, my buddy, Boomer, and I have two championship hats and we're looking for number three. Let me tell you a little about Boomer.
In 1984 I lost my job in architecture to a declining local economy in my hometown of Tulsa. I found work in Dallas several weeks later. My relocation meant that I would be separated from my family for several months. Our daughter was in school and we determined that the family would stay in Tulsa until school was out and I would get an apartment in Dallas until they could join me. Well, my wife and daughter decided that I needed a buddy, but a real live pet was not possible so they found Boomer. Boomer has aged much more gracefully than me. He looks pretty good for 31 don't you think? He now makes an appearance every Christmas, kind of like "Elf on a Shelf" without the antics. Well, Boomer and I are anxiously awaiting the play-offs and are hoping to add another cap to our collection. Think about it. Oklahoma won the National title in 1985 and 2000. It's 2015, so it's our turn, right? BOOMER Sooner!!!
Regardless of how the play-offs turn out, I know that as long as I have Christ as my Lord and Savior, All Is Well.Friday, December 14, 2012

Friday Thoughts
This past week my wife and I were watching the Academy of Country Music Awards. Carrie Underwood sang her newest release "Temporary Home". We should all be reminded that this world is only our temporary home. God created us, breathed life into us and placed us here with a plan for our lives. We have the free will to seek His face and obey his will for our lives, or go our own way. The choice is ours. For those of us who call the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, this temporary home is only the beginning of the abundant life. That life begins when we acknowledge our sinful behavior and our need for salvation. We realize that Jesus Christ is indeed the only Son of the Living God and we ask for forgiveness and invite Christ into our lives and our hearts. For Christ said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6 At that moment we are changed. Changed into new creatures.
We are all going to spend eternity somewhere. We will either spend eternity separated from God, without hope, without salvation, and without anything other than eternal torment. Or, we will spend eternity in the presence of the Living God, singing His praises, rejoicing in His salvation. We will spend it in a place that He has prepared just for us. Christ said, "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also." John 14:1-3
So, with that said, I give you Carrie Underwood, "Temporary Home." Enjoy
