A Change is Gonna Come.

The morning drive to work is often an opportunity to capture a nice image.  It can also be an indicator of things to come.  Pay special attention to the morning sky.  If there are clouds, there is a good possibility they will be around throughout the day and present an opportunity for a great sunset capture.  Clouds almost always make a more interesting capture.
Life is a similar.  As much as we would all like to live a life with no problems, like a clear day, that just isn't reality.  We are going to have cloudy days, We are going to endure some of the storms of life.  It is these times that truly make life interesting and give us the opportunity to grow.  Just like I always try to have a camera close at hand to capture the storm clouds coming, I try to always take my Savior with me to face the storms of life.  When I leave my camera at home, I am unprepared to capture those interesting moments.  When I fail to take Jesus with me, I am unprepared to face the challenges that life can bring my way.  Life is just better when I rely on my Lord to guide my decisions.  There is great value in asking yourself, "What Would Jesus Do?"  The correct answer is always in your best interest.
The inspirational song for today comes from the latest Gaither Homecoming Video, Tent Revival.   When I look at my life and the many times that I have disappointed my Creator and Savior, I often wonder how could He possibly love me, after what I have done and continue to do.  I Stand Amazed in the presence of Jesus the Nazerene, and wonder how He could love a sinner like me.  He loves us, in spite of ourselves.  Enjoy and have a blessed week-end.

Christmas Music Marathon-Day 20

I almost got through this whole musical journey without featuring one of my favorite groups, the Gaither Vocal Band. That would have just been wrong. The GVB is the most famous and recognizable Southern Gospel Group in the world. They're also the best. Yesterday, I asked the the question, "What is Christmas without Christ?" Today, the Gaithers answer another question, Who is Christ? The Bible tells us, He is to be called, Wonderful Counselor, Emmanuel, Alpha and Omega, Son of David, Savior, Messiah, and the list goes on. The Gaither Vocal Band tell us that "He is Glorious Impossible". Enjoy.

Wordless Wednesday - Christmas Music Marathon - Day 7

Merry Christmas from the Driller Family

The photo is the Wordless Wednesday part of this post.  Now, on to the next episode of the Christmas Music Marathon.  One of the goals of this musical journey is to find some Christmas music that I haven't heard before and may be new to you.  This is not a new song, because I know that Jonathan Pierce hasn't been in the Gaither Vocal Band for over a decade.  Still, the song is new to me and I wanted to share it with you.  So, here is the Gaither Vocal Band singing, "New Star Shining."  Enjoy.

Skywatch Friday Thoughts and More

This photo was taken on a pleasant July day at a local golf course during a charity event.  Our office sponsored one of the holes, so I was manning my station, with camera in hand.  As you can see, it was a wonderful day.
It is days like this, that I can look to the heavens and be ever thankful to the God of all creation for this life.  I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams.  I am not rich, by the standards of this country in which we live.  I live in the most blessed country on the planet.  God has shed His grace on the United States in unbelievable fashion.  However, regardless of how blessed I am here, it is nothing compared to the place that he has prepared for me.  There will come a day when those who are called by His name will rise.  I pray that you will join us, because, in that Resurrection Morning,  "We Shall Rise."  Enjoy.

Hallelujah & Amen!
