Skywatch Friday

For many, sunsets on Friday mark the end of the work week and the beginning of two days to rest, relax and recharge the batteries before Monday morning. For the retired, sunsets on Friday simply mark the end of another day. I'm retired and I prefer my perspective of Friday sunsets. Some people fill their retirement with so many activities that they say they are busier than when they were working. I'm not one of those, but sometime I do look back on my days of employment and wonder how did I squeeze all of the things I do now into my evenings and week-ends before. I mean the necessary things, like mowing the lawn, landscaping the yard, going to the grandkids activities, fishing, photography, etc. I will admit, that I have some days that are pretty much void of activity now, but I'm okay with that. That just means that I can recharge my batteries on days other than Saturday & Sunday so I can be ready for the week-end activities. Have a blessed week-end.

  1. I'm very busy in my retirement, but not nearly as busy as when I was working. I worked on so many projects that it was all I could do to keep up.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  2. One of the great things about most of the people I know who retired is that after six months to a year, when I see them most of them look five years younger and a whole lot less stress on their faces. And that is a great thing. Enjoy your retirement Driller!!
