Skywatch Friday

It's been a looooong time since I last posted a Skywatch Friday image. Yesterday the clouds churned into thunderheads and eventually we got an afternoon shower. The clouds were so much fun to watch and so spectacular that I decided to focus entirely on the formations and forget about any kind of foreground in the image. These kinds of images make excellent backgrounds for placing quotations on. Here is an example that I created in PhotoShop Elements. Have a blessed week-end.

  3. I love these. I got a few pure cloud and sky shots myself the other day. A group of us from work went to eat at a restuarant on the north side of the airport. I went by myself because I have decided that I would like to try and take photographs of of planes landing and taking off and there is a designated "observation" area on the north side of the airport so I went there and spent ten minutes waiting. It was just crickets, no planes came or went, so I took photos of the sky. It doesn't look like too good a spot anyway so I am going to try the designated observation area on the south side of the airport next time I have some time.
