As I mentioned last Friday, my wife and I took a few days off to visit my aunt, uncle and cousins in Decatur, Illinois recently. While there, I took a morning to drive downtown and photograph some great looking old buildings. Churches are among my favorite subjects and some of the one's in Decatur are just stunning. You will get to see several of them over the next few days. First up is St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Scroll down to see one more view of this structure. Come back Tuesday to see the next installment.
The architecture is stunning.
ReplyDeleteI've got to hand it to the Catholics here -- they build visually appealing churches for the most part.
ReplyDeleteThat is a grand building. It looks like maybe a church ought to.
ReplyDeleteNice shots. Several years ago while I was still a graduate student at the University of Illinois in Chicago, my wife and visited Decatur,Illinois for a day. Cheers and have Good Day!
