Don't get me wrong. My wife is an excellent cook. I will put her up against Pioneer Woman or Trisha Yearwood any day. She might not win every battle, but she would never finish third. Christmas baking is a tradition around our home, but her lemon meringue pie was a pie for the ages. As soon as it came out of the oven, I knew it was special. Sorry, there were NO leftovers.
I'm glad you enjoyed your lemon pie. Not having any leftovers is a good sign that the pie was awesome.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day. :)
I will put her up against my moms warm coconut cream pie!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid I had a great aunt that made fantastic lemon meringue pie. It had enough lemon in it to make you pucker up and whistle. It is still about my favorite. Lucky you.
ReplyDeleteWell, I WAS just gonna post a Scripture reference about gluttony, or not sharing... but then I remembered about 'casting the first stone' , being judged as I judge, and the prohibition of covetousness. THAT one got me... :) So, I'll just say 'Lucky you - my that looks like a good pie' 8) [yes, I love lemon pie...]
