Ruby Tuesday Too

I've always liked cars.  I never was a mechanic and I never knew enough about cars to do any serious hot rodding, but I always had an affection for rolling art that could go fast.  In my life I've owned a 1968 Mustang coupe, and a 1971 Datsun 240Z.  A couple of years ago I nearly bought a Nissan 370Z, but after the test drive I realized that I was no longer comfortable behind the wheel of a modern sports car.  The limited views from inside the "cockpit" and the paddle shift were just more than I wanted to deal with, so I bought a pick-up truck and kept my bass boat.  Still, I love to admire fast cars.  It's a "child of the sixties" thing.  Happy Ruby Tuesday all.

  1. For me, the most important thing about a car is does it drive. My son is a mechanic, and he's always working on something. That is a great shot!

  2. I love arty cars including the vintage models especially. Not sure where the passion comes from, but it's there. Love bikes too. This is a beauty.

  3. I like cars also. I have never owned anything remotely considered a sports car but I sure admired the Corvette's, Mustangs, Camaros, and Firebirds from way back when. One of my favorite movies is Vanishing Point a cheesy movie with an obscure plot but it had a 426 Hemi Challenger and who cared about the plot then

  4. Any time I have driven or ridden in a sporty car lately it feels way too low to the ground for me, but I still like looking at them.

  5. Nice shot of a late model Corvette. Keep telling you that you NEED a car Mr Driller...
@ Gemma Wiseman - its genetic; youre a car and bike person! Enjoy and good on you.
@Yogi - Love Vanishing Point too - the remake is even better imnsho. First time in history that a remake is superior too. I wouldnt really call the plot obscure myself, tho its more obvious in the newer version.

  6. You photographed my favorite. I have never owned a Corvette but I have driven several when I was younger and how thrilling it was.

  7. Hubby can so relate to this post. He wants a Dodge Challenger SRT8. He'd get into trouble if he bought one though. Sometimes you just need to realize wanting is good, but having not so much.

    Have a fabulous day. :)

  8. Great red car, although I'm sure you're quite content in your pickup! ;)
