I try to keep a digital camera with me at all times. You just never know when a sunset like this will present itself. I was driving home from work and looked to the west. I could tell that the sunset was going to be a good one, but I had no place to park. I was about two miles from the Subway shop in Pea Ridge, AR. The great thing about the parking area around this Subway store is that it has an unobstructed view to the west. As the sun set, I took several photos. I will be sharing a few others in the weeks to come. Have a great Skywatch Friday.
I keep a camera with me so that I am ready when a photo opportunity presents itself. Life is like that. There will come a day when Christ will return, and those who are prepared to step out and meet Him will spend an eternity in a place prepared just for them. The Bible tells us that no one knows the day or the time when God will tell His son to step out and gather His children. It could be a Midnight Cry. Are you ready? Ivan Parker and Gold City sings this great Gospel song for us. The video is from around 1987, but the message is timeless. Enjoy.
Nice. i try to when traveling as well.
ReplyDeleteLovely sky the way the orange melts into yellows and blues.
ReplyDeleteLove the orange in the sky, very pretty sunset.
ReplyDeleteGreat sunset photo. You are right, you gotta be ready with a camera. Most pics cannot be planned.
ReplyDeleteThat is a stunning sunset. Good thing you had your camera at the ready!
ReplyDeleteTO THE SKY
Sky by day or sky by night,
You are always my delight,
For in blaze or subtle hue,
Sky, my heart belongs to you.

What a beautiful shot indeed. I like it that you stop to smell the roses along the way. Many folks don't.

Have a terrific day and weekend. Big hug. :)
I'm so glad I bought a smaller Canon G10 to keep with me so I could get good shots without my "big rig". It can really make a difference. Nice job on this shot!
