Blog Blast for Peace 2014

We seem to be living in a world that has little use for peace.  Our society is filled with corruption and violence.  Our world is at war in numerous places and there are those who would force their ideology on the world through terror.  This is NOT how God intended for it to be.  His word tells us to depart from evil and seek peace.  Peace should not be confused with tolerance, they are two different things.  Tolerance does not bring about peace.  Tolerance of a rebellious, disobedient child does not produce a well rounded, law abiding citizen anymore than tolerance of evil produces peace.
The Bible tells us to train our children in the way that they should go.  Beginning with the Baby Boomers, we have failed miserably to do this.  Children have to be taught how to be good.  Somehow we have come to the conclusion that we should not teach our children about spiritual matters and when they grow up, they will make their own "wise" decisions.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  A child who has no instruction in religious matters will no more understand God's plan  for their life, than a person denied any access to instruction in math will grow up and figure out calculus on their own.
Like so many things, peace begins at home and comes from the heart.  It's a very simple concept, but very complicated to live out each day.  Have a blessed day.  Peace to you and yours.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life."  John 3:16

  1. It seems things are getting worse and worse. More hatred than ever. I do agree that tolerance and peace are not the same things.

Have a blessed day my friend. ☺

  4. I agree with you, that kindness, goodness and the willingness to be peaceful are taught at home. Those outside the home cannot ever care about our children's morality as family can. It is our own responsibility to teach everything we know, and not simply 'hope' they are taught these things by the rest of society, a society where the range of how much people care is huge.

Peace to you and yours, Driller.

  5. I look forward to finding your peace globe each and every year, Driller. Your graphics are always stunning, and this is no exception. I love the way you present the truth in simple, yet powerful, terms. We must train up our children and we must not waver. Thank you for this brilliant contribution!
    Peace to you and yours!
