2015 Christmas Music Marathon Day 30
The lights on the square in Bentonville, AR give a true small town USA feel to the Christmas season. Residents gather throughout the Holidays to wander the sidewalks, take photos and enjoy the festive display. It is something that we haven't done in a few years.
Well, we've come to the end of another Christmas Music Marathon. There have been a lot of new songs this year and I hope you have enjoyed the more contemporary twist on the celebration of the birth of Christ. I'm already looking forward to the 2016 Christmas Music Marathon. Can I get an "Amen"?
I'm going to take a few days off. I'll see you next year.

This is the best Christmas marathon you've ever done. Just so you know.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous ! Happy 2016!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. This might be a stupid question, but is that Walton's 5-10 the one that Sam Walton owned pre-Walmart?
ReplyDeleteYes, this is the site of the original Walton's 5 & 10, on the square in Bentonville, Arkansas. It is now a museum that includes Sam Walton's office that was dismantled and reconstructed here. It appears exactly the way it did on the day that Sam passed away. The museum covers more space than the original store and there are a number of displays that tell the Walmart story. It's a pretty neat place to visit.
